Queen’s Park Swimming Pool
Opening Ceremony

Chesterfield SC were invited to participate in the opening ceremony of the new pool facilities at Queen’s Park Sports Centre. These improvements include the installation of a moveable boom which will allow the club to train in a 25m pool rather than a 33m pool, new seating on the balcony, air conditioning, electronic scoring system with scoreboard and improved disabled access. Later this month an ultra-violet water purification system will also be installed.
The opening of the pool was carried out by Olympian Ross Davenport and the Lord Mayor of Chesterfield.
Chesterfield swimmers who took part were Ben Raybould, Jamie Lankford, Stephanie Williams, Will Richards, John Richards, Katie Wright, Georgia Haggar, Jack Haggar, Abigail Newman, Thomas Westnidge and Max Ward.
