Volunteering

At Chesterfield Swimming Club we rely heavily on the hard work and dedication of many volunteers. We have many members of the club who play various crucial roles in the successful operation of the club from background admin tasks to poolside teaching and coaching. If you have a specific skill which you think could be useful to us or if you wish to offer your time in assisting with the operation of the club then please contact the club’s workforce development officer on workforce@chesterfieldsc.co.uk.

Poolside volunteers are crucial in providing swimmers with their individual training needs. Jamie Manterfield, a committee member, parent and regular volunteer coach for National and County Squads, had this to say:

We offer qualification based incentives for all of our volunteers providing financial and experience support for gaining teaching and coaching qualifications as well as other necessary qualifications to be a poolside coach. We will also support our volunteers in attending additional coach and teacher educational courses whenever possible.

If you are interested in getting involved with helping the coaching team at Chesterfield Swimming Club deliver the highest standard of training possible or if you would just like to find out a little more then please contact the club’s workforce development officer on workforce@chesterfieldsc.co.uk. There is no minimum requirement for how much you can help and every little counts so please don’t hesitate.
