Last weekend 9 of our young swimmers headed down to the East Midland International Swimming Pool in Corby to compete at the 13 years and under Regional Championships.
Racing against some of the fastest swimmers in the country our team delivered some excellent performances with every one of them moving up the rankings from their entry position in at least one event.
We finished the weekend with swimmers competing in 22 finals and winning 10 medals. A record high for Chesterfield Swimming Club. Well done to ever swimmer that competed, you did amazing and made the club and coaches proud.
Special well done to Amber Downham for picking up a staggering 8 medals! 6 Silver and Regional Champion in two events; the 400m IM and 200m Breaststroke. And to Brandon Hotham for winning 2 Bronze medals in the 200m Butterfly and 50m Breaststroke.
