Elite Tiathlete, Elle Twentyman, Makes Leaps Forward After Joining CSC and has Great Things to say A
During the summer elite triathlete, Elle Twentyman, from Bath University began swim training with Chesterfield Swimming Club's National Squad. By the end of the summer Elle had made significant gains in her swimming and we were all extremely pleased for her but what she had to say about her time with the club made us extremely proud.
"Thank you so much for allowing me to swim with your squad over the summer, I really enjoyed the sessions and cannot thank you enough for the help you gave me with my technique. I will spend the next few months (post race season) working on my stroke and will hopefully see those improvements! I would also like to thank all of the swimmers for being so wonderful. It was really refreshing to be part of a squad of swimmers who genuinely seemed to enjoy being at every session and and who were all so friendly (not to mention all fantastic swimmers!).
I have had some great swims over the past few weeks, hopefully these will only get better! Over the past few weeks I finished 14th at the European Cup in Malmo, gaining some valuable ITU points, before finishing in the top 20 at Embrun French Grand Prix in a World Class field including the likes of Olympians Andrea Hewitt (currently ranked #3 in the World Rankings) and Cassandre Beaugrand. My French team manager even said that he had misjudged my swimming ability and with my result helping them to their highest ranking this season, would like me to race more for his team next season! This past weekend was the British Triathlon Mixed Relay Cup where I was selected to represent Bath. If you have space I would love to join you again at Christmas!"
We look forward to welcoming Elle back this Christmas and wish her all the best in competition this season.
