Coaching Team
Lead Coaches
Each squad has been assigned a Lead Coach; the role of the Lead Coach is primarily to act as a first point of contact for parents with the rest of their responsibilities varying slightly from squad to squad.
All Lead Coaches follow an annual training plan for their squad which has been produced by the Head Coach with varying levels of input depending on their qualifications and experience. The same applies to training sessions which are sometimes produced by the Head Coach and sometimes the coach taking the session, but they always follow a structured training plan and stick to key philosophy principles outlined by the Head Coach.
Please contact your Lead Coach if you need to discuss anything regarding your swimming and if they can’t help you then the Head Coach is always available. Please respect that many Lead Coaches are volunteers, giving up their free time alongside their own career to help provide a high standard Performance Pathway for our swimmers. If you have a contact phone number for a Lead Coach please only use it in an emergency and instead email them so that they can respond at a time which is convenient for them and be patient in waiting for a response.
All our coaches do an amazing job in which they give their all to try and get the best results possible. If ever there is an opportunity for you to acknowledge their efforts and show your appreciation, please do. A quick thank you goes a long way.

Level 3 Performance Coach
Previous Head Coach Roles:
Bolton Metro Swim Squad, Burnley Bobcats, Crewe Flyers, Harrogate District, Wigan BEST.
Achievements:
Coached over 150 swimmers to British and Home Nation Championships.
Coached 7 British Age Group / Youth champions.
Coached athletes to GB age group and senior records, para records, and onto Youth Olympic and European Junior teams.
4 athletes progressing to senior international representation; Commonwealth Games and World LC Championships.
Coached on all levels of Swim England / British Swimming talent programmes from regional through to World Class.
